Viewing FMEAs
Users with any permission group (fmea-viewer, fmea-editor or fmea-admin) can open and view any FMEA in your site.
FMEA title
The title shows the FMEA type (e.g., "DFMEA") followed by the Segment | BOM | Focus element.
FMEA structure
The records and fields will depend on the FMEA type for the current FMEA. The parent-child relationships between records handle situations in which there are multiple causes for the same failure, multiple controls for the same cause, and so on. If you have upgraded from ReliaSoft XFMEA, the relationships in ReliaSoft Cloud are similar to "Grouped Effects and Causes" FMEA structure, with the option to enter requirements as separate records that are siblings of failures.
FMEA worksheet and tree views
For any FMEA, you can view and edit the FMEA records via two complementary views.
-
The Worksheet view shows the FMEA in a tabular view that's similar to Microsoft Excel.
-
The Tree view shows the FMEA in a hierarchical view based on the parent-child relationships between records.
Click any worksheet cell or tree row to view the record's properties in the right side panel.
Download an FMEA
While on the worksheet view, to download the FMEA worksheet and header to an Excel file, click the Download FMEA icon.
You can then either open the file or save it to a location of your choice.
FMEA header
The Header captures general details about the entire FMEA, such as the team that performed the analysis and dates when the "document" was completed or revised.

FMEA timestamps
Each FMEA and FMEA record includes a timestamp of when the item was created and last modified (and by whom). The timestamp for the FMEA shows any change to the FMEA (e.g., add, edit, delete, copy/paste, cut/paste or move a record; edit FMEA header or rename FMEA) while a record's timestamp shows the last saved change to its properties.
The timestamp for the entire FMEA is located to the right of the name bar while the timestamp for a record is located at the bottom of the record properties.
Click the Timestamp icon to see the details.
